Eric teaches private drums lessons both online and in the Houston area. He can either go to your home if it's within a reasonable driving distance or meet you at a rental space.

While he specializes in jazz, he teaches all styes including blues, rock, pop, R&B, funk, soul, and classical percussion.

Through your favorite songs, we will develop your technique, reading, improvisation, and soloing so that you can play with purpose and ease.

What you should be playing can sometimes be ambiguous on the drums since there often isn't a written out part or chords for you to play which sound "correct". Therefore, he tries to be extremely clear about the function of every note. On the drums, you're either coasting, adding pressure, resolving a phrase, playing a melodic statement, or playing a color. Deciding on that function gives your playing intention and purpose at all times.​
